Once considered insignificant merchandise, rusty old key chains with faded brand logos and figurative miniatures are the origins of this summer's new collection by Agas & Tamar. The heart of the collection, however, wasn't the branded or decorative part of these collectables, but the simple metal constructs of the key-chains themselves.

The more that they paid attention the more they saw and discovered a whole new world of craft where "grey" functional design gives birth to rare and surprising aesthetics. A hidden world of delicate and precise art that was ready to return to center stage

The items presented in the new collection exist at the boundary between function and design or between the generic product of mass production and a uniquely hand crafted piece. Notable items are delicate necklaces featuring gold crafted objects next to antique Afghan gemstones, bracelets inspired by the mechanical aesthetics of cogs and hinges as well as hanging earrings that resemble a swinging key-chain.

The Agas & Tamar brand is celebrating 20 years with a collection that marks this significant milestone in the designers' creative journey. An open, multidisciplinary mind and an ever growing curiosity are the values that lead the designers when experimenting with ideas from the fields of visual art and design. As always the designers keep true to their defined fingerprint, raw materials and a strong passion for finding beauty in hidden and unexpected places.
